Apple releases new firmware for the AirPods Pro and second-generation AirPods

Apple released new firmware for the AirPods Pro and second-age AirPods on Wednesday, with assemble number 3E751 now accessible to download and install.

The update replaces the previously accessible firmware, assemble number 3A283 for the two models. This denotes the 6th firmware update Apple has given for the AirPods Pro since dispatch.

Apple hasn’t gave any details to this update, however it might address issues with the automatic device switching feature. The update may also include compatibility with the new 24-inch iMac and iPad Pros.

The new firmware is installed automatically for clients, with no mechanism on offer to manually force an update to occur. Insofar as the AirPods or AirPods Pro are in the charging case and connected to an iOS device, the firmware will install without help from anyone else.

AirPods clients can check the current firmware for their audio accessories within the Settings application, selecting General, at that point About, at that point select their device from the menu.
