At Valley Sheetz locations, traffic delays are caused by discounted fuel.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – On Independence Day, Sheetz gas stations in the Mahoning Valley experienced minor traffic issues as a result of discounted fuel.

In Warren, people were waiting in line to pull in to get gas at the intersection of E. Market Street and North Road.

In honor of the year that the Declaration of Independence was signed, Sheetz reduced the price of gas to $1.776 per gallon.

One of the women we talked to said that she wanted to take advantage of the deal and give her boyfriend a full tank as a surprise.

“When I awoke this morning, I saw on Facebook that someone had stated that the gallon price was $1.77. I was like, ‘Gracious man, I better get down there,’ and everybody was like, ‘The lines are truly occupied,’ and I was like, ‘Indeed, I will stand by. “I’m going to take that chance and wait,” Sandi McCauley, a Niles resident, declared.

While the promotional gallons lasted, the discounted fuel was available for regular, Flex fuel, unleaded 88, mid-grade, and premium gas.
