Indiana Pacers’ Domantas Sabonis wins NBA Taco Bell Skills Challenge and scores first All-Star game basket

Domantas Sabonis won the NBA Taco Bell Skills Challenge, beating fellow All-Star center Nikola Vucevic in the final round.

Sabonis beat New York Knicks All-Star forward Julius Randle in the first round and Dallas Mavericks All-Star watch Luka Doncic in the elimination round. He was wonderful in the initial two rounds, hitting the pass and last 3-pointer on the primary attempt, prior to starting up a few 3s to beat Vucevic in the final.

“Since I’m here, why not?” Sabonis said. “It’s actually a good warmup before the game.

“I’m glad I got it this time.”

Sabonis was the runner-up in a year ago’s competition.

Later in the night, Sabonis scored only two focuses in his subsequent All-Star appearance, yet it was his first crate as an All-Star in the wake of getting held scoreless a year ago.

“It felt good to get it off my chest,” Sabonis joked. “I thank Luka (Doncic) for the pass.”
