My Kitchen Rules 2022 champions are Janelle and Monzir

Sydney couple Janelle and Monzir have won the 2022 season of Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, taking out the crown with a score of 27/30 in a furiously faced conflict with just two focuses isolating them from Kate and Mary.

Heading into the opposition, Janelle and Monzir were longshots, however they wowed Manu Feildel, Curtis Stone, and Colin Fassnidge with their four-course menu served to challengers, family, and companions at Kitchen HQ.

Janelle and Monzir gave Kataifi Prawn Haloumi and Watermelon Salad for their fish dish.

Colin said their prawns were cooked impeccably: “That prawn was cooked wonderfully. The surface. The pleasantness. It was only the fundamental extravagance thing on that plate.”

“I adored that you left the head on and I just dunked it into the sauce. It was so great,” said Curtis.

For their fish course, Kate and Mary settled on a Crispy Skin Salmon with Fragrant Thai Sauce and Flatbread.

Colin cheered their salmon however was much more intrigued with the Thai sauce, saying it was one of his “stand-outs” this year. Manu complimented the group for the “awesome” fresh on their fish.

Janelle and Monzir called upon Monzir’s mum’s recipe for Sudanese Beef and Orka Stew for their principal and it didn’t come up short.

“Monzir and mum, you ought to both be extremely pleased. It was delightful. I believe it’s the dish of the night for me,” said Manu. “The meat was cooked with a smidgen of chomp and to have the option to get it with a wonderful level little pancake. It was great.”
