The much-anticipated Indian Tamil-language anthology web series made by Mani Ratnam, an Indian movie director working predominantly in Tamil film got along with the praised producer, Jayendra Panchapakesan to produce a philanthropic project, Navarasa, to help those in the Tamil film industry who have been influenced by the Coronavirus pandemic.
In addition, the series will be launched through their flags Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies individually.
Navarasa cast:
While Ratnam and Panchapakesan will create the collection, the short movies will be guided by some separated directors like Bejoy Nambiar, Arvind Swamy, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Ponram, R. Rathindran Prasad, Karthick Naren, Halitha Shameem, K.V. Anand and, Karthik Subbaraj. The directors consented to come energetic about the project, giving their help free.
Oscar-winning music virtuoso A.R. Rahman and music composer Karthik are likewise a piece of the series.
The cast of Navarasa includes renowned actors like Revathi, Nithya Menen, Aishwarya Rajesh, Siddharth, Suriya, Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Gautham Karthik and Ashok Selvan and others.
The series revolves around nine emotions like anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace and wonder.
As per an statement given by Ratnam and Panchapakesan, they said, “We have always loved to brainstorm and come up with unique ideas to raise money for deserving causes. This time the brainstorming was for the cause of our own industry, to soothe and try and alleviate to some extent the agony of our people who had no work for months.”
They futhur added that the possibility of Navarasa was a spark and the industry had met up to make it glow and give it the spirit it required.
In front of the film’s release, a few pictures from the film went gone viral after they were shared by Tamil magazine in a Twitter string. A sneak look picture featuring actors Suriya and Prayaga Martin paying attention to music together was circulated widely via social media.
