Swastika Mukherjee files lawsuit against movie director for threatening emails and morphed images: threat to take me to CM

Swastika Mukherjee claimed the co-producer of her upcoming movie Shibpur sent her threatening letters and morphed images. The movie will debut on May 5.

Swastika filed a report at Kolkata’s Golf Green Police Station last month. She also asked the Eastern India Motion Pictures Association for assistance. (EIMPA). Political drama Shibpur is helmed by Arindam Bhattacharya. Besides Swastika, it also has Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajatava Dutta, Mamata Shankar, Kharaj Mukhopadhyay, Susmita Mukherjee, and a few more in key roles.

“If I had wished to, I would have discussed it with the media at the time. I remained silent because I wanted Shibpur’s discharge to go smoothly. But it seems to go on forever.
