The AI Movie Maker From Lightricks Creates Whole Films

The Israeli business that created Facetune and Photoleap, Lightricks, unveiled its most significant product to date. LTX Studio is a visual AI video application that uses text descriptions alone to create characters, scenes, storyboards, and even whole movies.

Some creative experts fear that generative AI technologies may cause job losses and harm to the arts, while proponents of the technology claim it can democratize the filmmaking process.

There are several applications available that use prompts to generate unique video sceneries, such as Runway and OpenAI’s upcoming Sora. A longer production might have more editing and control thanks to LTX Studio’s design.

Since LTX Studio is browser-based, it should function on a variety of platforms, including PCs, tablets, and smartphones, in contrast to Lightricks’ other tools.

After creating characters and a storyline using written descriptions, users select from a range of camera angles and styles, such as “cinematic” or “anime.” Characters stay the same from scene to scene, even if you can add music and audio and alter many of the other features.

Although the product won’t be accessible until an event on March 27, buyers can sign up for a waiting list to have access after launch.

According to Lightricks, the product is free at first. Though some other apps need a fee for each change made using generative AI, CEO Zeev Farbman claims the company will eventually charge. “It just doesn’t lend itself to the creative process, he said.
