IXOmusic shares the meaning behind Anjalts latest song ‘Touch N’Go‘
New York – When Anjalts emerged on the music scene in 2020 writing her title track ‘Air to Fire,’ it was a song about the massive fires in the Amazon Rainforest. The eco-aware artist wrote a poem after watching the fires blaze through one of the hardest-hit regions in Brazil, as 2020 became the year where the most rainforest fires were reported. Much of what she wrote was turned into a song with Anjalts acoustic guitar playing in the background. The Amazon Rainforest fires had hit close to home for Anjalts. She was raised by her Caribbean grandparents in Guyana, South America, where 87% of the country is covered by rainforest. Anjalts has since released six more singles including her latest release ‘Touch N’ Go’.
“Rhythmically the verse of the song stands out in the way Anjalts fluctuates her voice to resonate with the beat. I want to say it’s an alternative sing style that just vibes with what the song is all about,” explains Acen Sinclair, engineer management at IXOmusic, an indie label based out of New York and South Florida. Anjalts is special to us because she was our first artist to get discovered and launched from our tiny label. Except, we didn’t realize she was like 20 artists in one person. She is dedicated to writing and producing her own songs, playing a bunch of instruments, and mixing her tracks from start to finish. “I just sit here and press the ‘record’ button for her, it’s great,” continues Sinclair as he lays out the first verse of ‘Touch N’Go’ lyrics:

‘When you look closer into the real meaning as a whole song, continues Sinclair, it’s basically saying there is a consequence to the actions we choose every day, good or bad, it’s about our Karma. This song ‘Touch N’Go’ dives right into it, as it describes the anxiety of walking on eggshells around someone who is self-destructive or toxic.
