Updated Ultra-Wideband processor will be used in the Apple iPhone 15: Report

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, the company’s Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology will be upgraded for usage in Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup. According to reports, this will enhance integration with the future Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

Since the release of the iPhone 11, the Cupertino tech giant has been employing a UWB chipset in smartphones; the upcoming U2 version will reportedly switch to a 7nm manufacturing, enhancing efficiency and performance.

Apple has made use of the chipset in earlier smartphones to make features like AirDrop, Precision Finding, and Handoff possible. Handoff allows you to switch between Apple devices effortlessly.

Deeper integration with Apple’s Vision Pro headset would be made possible by the new chipset, and the business is placing a lot of money on this strategy.
