OpenAI introduces its bespoke chatbots GPT shop

The GPT Store, which was just opened, offers a “diverse range of GPTs developed by our partners and the community” in programming, writing, education, and other categories, according to the artificial intelligence startup backed by Microsoft.

Additionally, OpenAI-built GPTs can be found at the GPT Store

According to OpenAI’s blog post, the launch of the GPT Store occurred at the same time as the company started to offer its ChatGPT Team service, which gives teams access to GPT-4, Dall-E 3, and other tools in addition to a “collaborative” workspace. The business had originally planned to launch the store in November.

ChatGPT Plus, Team and Enterprise clients receive access to the GPT Store, OpenAI added. It stated that users will be able to “manage” GPT use for Team and Enterprise.

CEO Sam Altman stated on X that “there are incredibly useful GPTs in the store.” Altman was fired in early November but has since returned.

For individuals that develop the unique ChatGPT bots, OpenAI said it is planning a revenue scheme “based on user engagement”. The first quarter is when that program—which will initially be available to Americans—is scheduled to launch.

OpenAI claims that there are more than 3 million user-built GPTs out there. The AI business had stated when it first revealed GPTs that it believed the “most incredible GPTs will come from builders in the community.”

Since its late 2022 release, OpenAI’s ChatGPT has grown in popularity and user base quickly. Significant buzz has also been created by it; according to the Wikimedia Foundation, last year more interested internet users visited ChatGPT’s Wikipedia page than any other English article on the website of the open-source online encyclopedia.

According to its website, OpenAI provides additional tools and an application programming interface in addition to ChatGPT choices.

The Information said in December, citing anonymous sources, that the California-based business will generate $1.6 billion in annualized revenue in 2023.
